Shelley has the experience and connection with dogs that allows her to consistently shape good behaviour and then pass that knowledge along to their owner. Obedience, leash training, house training, raising a puppy are all common issues she can help you with, but she has also helped to rehabilitate many dogs whose owners were at the end of their rope and turned to her as a last resort.
After owning and operating a highly successful training centre, doggy daycare and grooming salon in Vancouver, Shelley began to focus on her passion: training owners and their beloved dogs. In 11 years of experience she has trained literally thousands of dogs throughout Vancouver and the Lower Mainland in hundreds of classes and private training sessions.
Shelley actively competes with her dogs, in French Ring Sport, Rally, Schutzhund and CKC Obedience. She has accomplished various titles including having the only 'Ring 2' titled Border Collie in North America, a huge accomplishment!
Shelley's life revolves around dogs and thoroughly enjoys the opportunity to share her training expertise and technique with her clients. She strives to see a happy and healthy relationship between dogs and their owners through training, trust and respect.
Michelle grew up in Richmond, BC where she discovered her love for dogs. It all started with a little dog named "Brew". At the age of 10 Michelle instinctively knew what a dog needed; Exercise, leadership and mental stimulation. Her love developed into a need to help and rescue dogs, she found herself becoming an active volunteer for local SPCA's and a rescue organization that rescues and advocates on behalf of bully breeds and a advocacy group in Vancouver, BC, dedicated to changing the view on Pit Bulls and bully breeds alike.
Michelle had previously owned a pitbull mix named Clover, who we sadly lost in 2009. Michelle now has a new German Shepherd puppy where she hopes to some day compete Massima in either agility, French Ring and/or obedience, sky is the limit for Massy!
In 2003 Michelle attended Canada West Canine Center in Salmon Arm, BC where she completed and graduated the Obedience Trainer program, high in her class. After graduation Michelle continued to work with rescue dogs to gain experience with all types of breeds, with all types of issues. Michelle teaches Puppy and agility classes, where her aspirations include competition in both!
